I recently delivered a talk titled “When Answers Become Cheap: How AI Can Deepen Academic Thinking Instead of Replacing It” in TSC Auditorium, University of Dhaka. My main message was simple. AI can help us learn faster, explore ideas, improve our writing and receive instant feedback. But it should support our thinking, not replace it. A polished answer does not always represent real understanding. I also shared the PACT approach: produce your own thoughts first, ask AI for guidance, check important claims with reliable evidence and clearly tell others how you used AI. AI can assist us, but we must remain responsible for the final work.
